Article Information
Background | I went on a fairly intense rant on social media about my outrage that Bill C-309 had passed. Not only had it become law, it had done so with very little objection from Canadians and in particular, from activists. |
Reason | I transformed said-social-media-rant into an Op/Ed that was published in the weekend edition of the Citizen in late June. |
Comment | I was happy with the result. It was great to channel my anger into something productive with such a large audience. |
Outcome | Weirdly, this piece garnered A LOT of hate mail. But I also got a lot of great feedback from people who felt that the article was eye opening; they hadn't thought of the implications Bill C-309 until they'd read it. |
